The Story
PERIOD was born from a simple but powerful idea: menstrual care deserves better branding.
In a category often dominated by clinical, sterile, or overly euphemistic communication, PERIOD set out to create a brand that celebrates periods with confidence, honesty, and a touch of rebellion.
Designed for a new generation of consumers who expect transparency, inclusivity, and beautifully crafted experiences, PERIOD isn’t just a product. It’s a conversation starter and an invitation to rethink how we talk about menstrual health.
Challenge
The femcare market is rapidly evolving, yet many brands still rely on outdated visual codes and messaging that reinforce stigma around periods.
The challenge was to create a brand identity that felt unapologetically modern and empowering while remaining approachable and trustworthy. The brand needed to stand out on shelves, connect emotionally with its audience, and position itself as a progressive player in the wellness and personal care space.
Most importantly, it had to transform a topic often surrounded by discomfort into something people would proudly identify with.
Approach & Outcome
Starting with a strategic exploration of the brand’s mission, values, and audience, I developed a visual identity rooted in boldness, confidence, and modern femininity.
The resulting brand system combines expressive typography, a striking colour palette, and playful yet sophisticated design elements that challenge the conventions of the femcare industry. The packaging was designed to feel premium, memorable, and instantly recognisable, helping PERIOD build a strong emotional connection with its community from day one.
More than a visual identity, the project became a statement: periods are natural, powerful, and nothing to hide.
